TRAVEL THROUGH ART: WATERCOLORS BY DIVYA MUTHUSAMY

I first set eyes on Divya Muthusamy’s watercolor paintings in a Facebook group for frequent-travelers. She had posted an image, a vibrant scene from an unmistakably Greek island that reminded me of a photo I once took on Mykonos. Her depiction of the place, with its white-washed buildings and cobblestone streets, the signature cobalt blue shutters and contrasting pink geraniums, took me back instantaneously.

Each of Divya’s paintings allows you set off on a journey to a different beautiful place in the world, and it’s a nice reminder how sometimes, travel can be possible without even leaving the house.

Divya, a California resident and a member of the Wilsons in Wanderland Book Club, has donated one of her gorgeous pieces of art toward our Cotswolds-themed May Giveaway, and you may enter to win it here.

For pricing and more information, e-mail Divya directly at: deethetravelartist@gmail.com.

You can also follow her and her growing repertoire of artwork on Instagram– and continue to enjoy the visual- and global- feast for your eyes!
