THYME ENGLAND: THE COTSWOLDS VILLAGE WITHIN A VILLAGE

Where does one go when they need a break and simply want to slow down the clock? Why, they go to Thyme, of course.

A deluxe destination in the English countryside, Thyme is a comprised of a collection of restored historic buildings in the Cotswolds village of Southrop. Owned and operated by the Hibbert family, Thyme is more of a true community, rather than exclusively a hotel, and offers not only overnight rooms and cottages, but also cookery classes, spa facilities, a tithe barn dining space for celebrations & corporate events, a charming cocktail bar, onsite restaurant, village pub, and the glorious gardens that take up much of property’s 150-acre working farm. There’s also a boutique retail shop that sells an assortment of carefully-crafted, bespoke products under their home brand name, ‘Bertioli by Thyme.’ From table linens to their popular “sheep seat” chairs and an up-and-coming silkware clothing line, everything is designed and hand-painted by Founder and Creative Director, Caryn Hibbert, and she notes how “all of the original prints depict the flora and fauna that inhabit Thyme’s garden, farm and wild spaces.”

You may have heard that “the greatest gift you can give someone is your time,” and I would have to agree that that’s true. I may also point out, however, that the gift of Thyme would be extremely well-received, too. Wilsons in Wanderland’s May Giveaway includes a stay for 2 in this special setting, as well as an abundant breakfast (*see cooking demo by Thyme head chef, Charlie Hibbert, here) and a guided early bird walk.

Take a look at the stunning scenery in the photos below, and you might just be planning your Cotswolds high-class holiday even sooner than you think!
